Some Answered Questions
What is the difference between Family Helpers and the following: Nanny, au pair, babysitter and daycare?
All options are great. The real question is what your family needs regarding amount of time, where the services are provided and if the service provider lives with you or not. Nannies typically work full or part time in your home (families commit to the designated time), Au pairs live in your home (often for a year) and care for your family in your home (they have additional requirements while you host them) , Babysitters care for your family in your home and are typically called when parents are out for a few hours (main duty is childcare) and daycare is provided outside of your home and is often full time childcare. Family Helpers work within your home and do not require a full or part time contract for service . They will also provide more then just childcare such as support with dishes, laundry, tidying and light meal prep.

Will I always have the same Family Helper?
Ideally, we will keep the same Helper working with your family, but if they are not available for any reason, we will be able to match you with another Helper.
Will my Family Helper only work with my family?
If you would like 20 hours (or more) per week we can guarantee that the Family Helper will only work with you. If you need less hours (ex: 1-2x per week) we typically pair you with a Family Helper who is working with another family. This allows Family Helpers to get enough hours to keep doing this important work. On occasion we have a Family Helpers who would prefer fewer hours and would like to work with only one family. We will always try our best to match people for the best “fit”.
How do you select the Family Helpers?
We do an in-person interview, check professional references and order a background check.
What if the Helper you assign to my family is not a good fit?
We always want to hear feedback and are happy to make sure you get the “right fit” with another helper.
