Job Description:
There is a growing need in the Westchester and greater tri-state area with families seeking additional helping hands or what some might call “mother’s helpers” or “family helpers”. Families are looking for trustworthy, kind, helpful people willing to assist with light household chores and watch over their children typically, while parents are home or if they might need to leave the home for a few hours.
This job requires you to work in homes with parents and children. Your main task will be to care for and play with the children of the household providing safety and protection as well as entertainment. Based on the needs of a household, you may also be tasked with light chores such as dishes, laundry, tidying children’s play area and basic food prep.
This work welcomes students and other people seeking flexible part-time (could be more than part-time depending on demand and availability) meaningful work. Before starting work with Two New Hands, LLC you will provided with a free orientation to help prepare you for the job. You will also be provided with free CPR Certification (if you are not already certified).
Characteristics of Successful Helpers are:
• Eagerness to be helpful and enjoying spending time with babies and children.
• Bringing a positive attitude and outlook to work.
• Professionalism: respectful of time and personal space.
• Strong communicators; ask questions when unsure and seeks clarification whenever possible.
Requirements:
• Previously worked with or cared for children
• Hours: Availability for minimum of 4-hour shifts
• Two professional references required
• You must have your own transportation to work. No public transportation due to COVID-19 guidelines.
More About The Opportunity:
Flexible hours: Part-time work available/Full time work is available depending on demand. Weekday and weekend hours available. Morning, afternoon and early evenings available.
Hourly Wage: $19/ per hour
Status: Independent Contractor
Helpers are responsible for their own transportation to work
Helpers are required to sign in and out virtually for each shift
Payment is done bi-weekly
Two New Hands will have an orientation before placement and monthly check-ins
